6 Step Easy DIY Christmas Tree

6 Step Easy DIY Christmas Tree

Christmas preparations have already begun as it is almost the end of November and the festive season is here. This Christmas I wanted to try something new, creative and of course colorful. So I made this very easy and full of color Christmas tree for my living room.

Things You Need:

Things you will require are crepe paper in two colors red and green, chart paper, a thermocol sheet, paper cutter, stapler, marker, scissors, glue gun, and glitter in different colors.

Step 1:

I used green chart paper to create a cylindrical shape cube for the tree trunk. Just simply roll the chart paper and secure it with glue or staple it like I did.

Step 2:

For the cone, I used the red chart paper by rolling it in a cone shape and then placed it on top of the paper trunk I made earlier.

Step 3:

I made paper fans using crepe paper to create the image of leaves on the tree. The paper fans are really easy to make just cut the crepe paper in four equal halves and begin to fold the paper length wise. Then staple the ends to make the fan shape. Follow the steps in the picture below if you have any confusion.

Create as many crepe paper fans as you want. The more the merrier!

Step 4:

Take one fan and stick an edge to another fan to create a bigger fan.

Step 5:

Now start gluing them to the cone. Make layers of green and red fans on the cone to create a colorful effect. The more fans you will use the more better and thick your tree will look.

Step 6:

I made these cute little glittery stars to decorate my Christmas tree. I took a thermocol sheet and drew star shapes with a marker using a free hand. Then with the help of a paper cutter I cut of the stars. I glued the stars and then dipped them in the glitter.

Here is the final look of my very own DIY Christmas Tree!

Isn't it cute? :)

My Key Chain Makeover

My Key Chain Makeover

How many of you like to see or have their names on the stuff you own? I just love collecting things that have my name on it. This key chain is one of my personal favorite among the Amber stuff collection that I have, which I would love to share with everyone soon. This key chain was a gift to me on my last birthday from my very special uncle Sam. He makes amazing handmade wood crafts. I have been using this key chain since last year and got some what bore from it as it lacked color. Me being a color loving person just can not stay away from color. Yes I am guilty! So I decided to give my beloved key chain a make over.

Here are the things I used for my key chain makeover. I used some pink paint for the alphabets in my name and black paint for the polka dots on the base of the key chain with the help of a cotton swab. For the sparkle I added few studs.

First I painted the alphabets and then let it dry completely.

Once it was completely dry I used a cotton swab to make the polka dots on the key chain base.

I glued the studs in the alphabets "A, B & E".

Here is the final look of my Amber key chain.

Do let me know what you think of it! Your feedback is what gets me going!

My Favorite Furniture

My Favorite Furniture

This "Mahogany Antique Sofa" is my one of my favorite pieces of furniture I have. I have tried to create a very tribal theme in my living room. Like a room best for a tribal king!

The fabric used in the sofa has tribal patterns and the color scheme consists of dark mahogany shades especially in Fall they make me feel very warm and cozy.

This wooden table is placed in front of the sofa. I have decorated it with some of my very old crystal pieces which I got from my grand ma.

I love the wooden details on the table!

The curtains and rug completes the look.
