A CALL FROM FALL

source: 1,2,3,4

Fall is almost here and everybody is planning for the season. So today I decided to share my plans for fall as well.

Wool is my favorite item in fall. I just love the texture, the colors and the feel of it. The great idea about it is that we can not only wear it but also create some fabulous things out of it to decorate our homes. Create flowers, wool balls and stack them together to form decorative pieces which can be either hanged on doors, walls or any where you like.

Fall brings in leaves with it too. So why not use them to decorate in a very innovative way. Its not only cost effective but also looks stunning when framed in using various frames.

Twigs also remind us of fall. Another easy way to decorate our living spaces.

Potpourri is perfect to create the aroma and decorate your room. The best way to use potpourri is to place the fragrant mixture in your favorite dishes, tins or baskets and place them around your house.

So have you received your call from the fall? If yes then start preparing for it because its on its way!

Shelf Your Books

If you love books then you will also love book shelves as book lovers tend to have a large collection of books they want to keep with them and if they are not kept properly they can be ruined. So all you bookworms get up its time to collect your tools and create a home for your books where they can live for the rest of your lives.

Old tables can be sliced up and painted to be put up against walls which can then be used as book shelves. A really unique and economic way to display your love for books.

We all have ladders at home which can be converted to book shelves just by simply attaching it to a wall and the best part is you don’t even need to make sections for different books as it will already contain steps which can be used as sections. For a rough look don’t paint the ladder. It’s simple yet amazing.

You very own wisdom tree book shelf can be made if you have extra wood , a few tools and basic skills. It can hold many books and you can always add more branches to it as the number of books you have increased.

Suitcase book shelf is my personal favorite. It requires just your grand ma’s suitcases for that vintage look you crave.  If you don't have a suitcase, look at flea market or ask friends or family if they have any old suitcases they might want to throw away.
