DIY Plants In Bath Basket

It is always good to have plants in your bathroom especially when there is no window in your bathroom. The plants can fill up your bathroom with their refreshing green color which will be really soothing to your eyes whenever you visit your bathroom. Plants will make your bathroom even more inviting and lively. Usually people do not have plants in the bathroom because they might lack space for the plants in their bathroom or either they cannot maintain them due to lack of sunlight in the bathroom. Thus artificial plants are a good option to have in your bathroom instead of real plants. They require no maintenance and look amazing throughout every season.

Today I will share with you a brilliant idea to decorate your bathroom with plants. For that you will need an old crate, some fresh green paint and a bunch of plants.

To begin with, write "Bath" with a pen on the crate so that you have a stencil to work on. Then using the green paint and paint brush write on the stencil you created earlier. Use a thick coat of paint as wood tends to absorb a lot of paint. Once done with the paint let it set till it is completely dry otherwise the paint might move in other direction spoiling your hard work.

Meanwhile in your bathroom select a corner and place a ladder there. The ladder will provide multiple uses in your bathroom. First it will hold your bathroom accessories like towels, gels, brush etc. and provide storage space if you do not have a cabinet in your bathroom. Secondly it will create a focal point in your bathroom and act as a decorative element. You can now place your plant basket next to it and fill it with some lush green plants and see the difference it creates in your bathrooms.

Christmas Gift Jewellery Box D.I.Y

Christmas Gift Jewellery Box D.I.Y

Today I will be sharing with you my Christmas gift Jewellery Box D.I.Y.  If you are planing to make a gift box this Christmas for your friends and family try out my idea of a gift box. Things you will need will be an empty box, net or a piece of fabric, silver wire, ribbons and pearls for decoration.

Create flowers petals using the silver wire, which will then be used for making flowers. First take a 3 inch long wire and turn it into a petal shape then wrap the net or piece of fabric on it. Once the petals are made then stick them in a flower shape with a glue. Make bows with ribbons and then stick all the decorative pieces on the top of the box.

As I was making a jewellery gift box I used some soft stuffing in the box to keep the jewellery safe.

Here is the final look of the jewellery box. I love the tiny pearls I used on the box and one big pearl I used in the middle of the flower.

6 Step Easy DIY Christmas Tree

6 Step Easy DIY Christmas Tree

Christmas preparations have already begun as it is almost the end of November and the festive season is here. This Christmas I wanted to try something new, creative and of course colorful. So I made this very easy and full of color Christmas tree for my living room.

Things You Need:

Things you will require are crepe paper in two colors red and green, chart paper, a thermocol sheet, paper cutter, stapler, marker, scissors, glue gun, and glitter in different colors.

Step 1:

I used green chart paper to create a cylindrical shape cube for the tree trunk. Just simply roll the chart paper and secure it with glue or staple it like I did.

Step 2:

For the cone, I used the red chart paper by rolling it in a cone shape and then placed it on top of the paper trunk I made earlier.

Step 3:

I made paper fans using crepe paper to create the image of leaves on the tree. The paper fans are really easy to make just cut the crepe paper in four equal halves and begin to fold the paper length wise. Then staple the ends to make the fan shape. Follow the steps in the picture below if you have any confusion.

Create as many crepe paper fans as you want. The more the merrier!

Step 4:

Take one fan and stick an edge to another fan to create a bigger fan.

Step 5:

Now start gluing them to the cone. Make layers of green and red fans on the cone to create a colorful effect. The more fans you will use the more better and thick your tree will look.

Step 6:

I made these cute little glittery stars to decorate my Christmas tree. I took a thermocol sheet and drew star shapes with a marker using a free hand. Then with the help of a paper cutter I cut of the stars. I glued the stars and then dipped them in the glitter.

Here is the final look of my very own DIY Christmas Tree!

Isn't it cute? :)

I love sharing my ideas! You can catch me partying on these fabulous blogs!
